About 15–20 minutes · synthetic cross-grating specimen. Load and check vacuum → navigate → illuminate → magnify → focus and correct astigmatism → acquire, review and download → blank the beam.
Independent brief: load the grid, find X 0.5 µm / Y 0 at 1,000×, centre illumination, use brightness 0.32 and spot 3, increase to 20,000×, focus at −66 nm, correct both stigmators to zero, then acquire at 0.5 s, review, download and blank. These targets belong to this teaching model.

Jana highlights each control; you make every adjustment on your current specimen.

What changes when you increase magnification around a centred feature?
Load a synthetic grating → pump and insert → focus → acquire an image. About 4–5 minutes.
When enabled, the control panel scrolls to each control and shows the trainer’s click or value change. The pointer stays inside this simulator and does not move your laptop’s mouse.
This lets the trainer run the displayed sequence on the simulated microscope. Current settings will change. Lesson completion is not awarded. Stop demo returns control to you.
Connect voice training for AI narration and questions. The visible demonstration also runs without a voice connection.

Find the electron source
Electrons travel down the column from the gun, through the specimen, to the detector.
Select Electron gun in the 3D column or in the component picker below it.
The selected component glows and its control panel opens.
